Subject: 3270 Emulators and SAS V8.2
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
Hi,
IBM M/F Z/OS ; SAS V8.2
Has anyone got any experience with different IBM 3270 emulators in conjunction with SAS V8.2?
I am trying to understand if the problem I am having with a particular emulator is a product fault, a product configuration issue or a SAS setting. Is it display character set problem?
What is the minimum level of emulation required to support SAS V8.2 so that my window boxes are displayed as proper frames rather than rows & columns of alpha & accented characters?
FYI: IBM PCOMM is OK and even a free-ware emulator displays the frames although confused about PF key navigation. The product I have the issue with is called "Active Conductor" from NDL and may only have a profile in the UK or Europe but I may be doing them a disservice on those grounds.
TIA,
Nigel Greenwood
