I have dates in a column stored as a character in the ddmmmyyyy (example: 02jul2006) form. I would like to change them to numeric mmyyyy and omit the date. I tried several functions but none of them work, can ayone advice how to first change that to numeric so that I can swith the dtae format to mmyyyy after that? Bets regards, Sharif Aly
