Subject: SAS/CONNECT and SSH without pasword?
Comments: To: sas-l@uga.edu

I can connect to a UNIX machine using SSH. I do not need a password since auth is done by keys. On the unix machine there is a SAS spawner running, but I cannot use it since it requires a password.

I thought I could make a CONNECT session through the SSH connection. If a manually start "sas -dmr" on the unix, sas starts in remote mode and tells the port number it sits listening. Now my windows sas could connect to that port, but how could I tell the port to the client?
