I've never used SAS BI, but BI in general is great. 1) All users get access to the same data with the same definitions so there is never any question of whose report is right. 2) Time spent on AdHoc report is dramatically reduced if you've design you warehouse correctly. 3) With the data integrated you have far more analytical power, you can really look at outcomes and se see what's driving factors are quickly. 4) When doing research (or preparing for research) you can eliminate many hypotheses from the start.

Also, you should probably post this in the following groups: OLAP: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sqlserver.olap?lnk=li&hl=en Warehouse: http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sqlserver.datawarehouse?lnk=li&hl=en
