I went on Saturday to look for the eider and ran into Jim Flynn and Earl Horn who directed me to the bird. It was feeding along the edges of the docks south of the Farmer's market area, where the Emerald Princess was previously docked. It appeared to be feeding on algae growing on the floats for the docks and was easily approached. It was hard to find at times as it is frequently under the overhanging boards of the dock.
