Subject:      Sandhills over Fort MacPherson

Forgot to sign in yesterday  to add my Sandhill Cranes.  About 1:45-2:00 pm  Wed, over Fort MacPherson Golf course, 3 large flotillas came overhead--50-75 in each.  Each paused in about the same place above us to circle a few times and regroup into a Vee, calling all the while.  There seemed to be a dispute in the last set, and they went off in two vees.

  I have just returned from a golf outing in Orlando FL and saw lots of Sandhills, and there one gets to see them very close up--5 feet is common--but the great sight of the flocks overhead is still grand!
