Hi folks,
I had a great day on the coast today. I'll post details tomorrow
(tirrrrred!) but the best find was a White-winged Dove. It is on
Jekyl Island. If you follow the directions in Giff Beaton's book to
get to South Beach, walk until you get to the big white sign that
says to stay on dunes, not harrass birds, etc. Turn so that sign is
at your back. The dove flew into the 2nd white cedar back - the one
that is by the very ostentatious house. I found it on the way back
from some great birding at South Beach.
