All,

I think I know the answer to the analysis question; however, I want to make sure of that. A project I am working on will surveying two groups of people. Each group will be surveyed by two methods: A and B. Group 1 gets method A then B; Group 2 gets the reverse. The methods are related in that they ask abut the same topics but with different levels of detail and structure. We are expecting an interaction between method and group. Now then, the reason for my question. The DVs can be constructed as either dichotomies or counts. My understanding is that there is no way that spss can analyze this--without treating the DV as continuous. I can't think of anything that would work but is there something hiding or something that could be adapted?

Question 2: Given the above design, can anyone offer any advice on how to compute a power number for this problem?

Thanks, Gene Maguin
