Subject: generalized function for calculating quantiles
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Dear ALL,

We know that CDF('dist',quantile,parm-1,...,parm-k) that computes probability in SAS is generalized form of PROBT, PROBNORM etc.

My query is there any such kind of generalized function for calculating quantiles. I am aware of PROBIT(p), TINV(p,df<,nc>), GAMINV(p,a) etc. which calculates quantiles for specific distributions. I want to have generalized one which will be able to calculate quantiles for all distributions.

Thanks in advance.

With regards

MADAN GOPAL KUNDU
