Hi Folks,
The results of the seventh annual All Women's Birding Bust are up on my
webpage. Congratulations and thanks to all the teams and birders that
participated. This year, we had 40 participants on 12 teams seeing or
hearing a total of 201 species, although three of those species were
actually seen on another count day.
It's great to see everyone's species' numbers increase over the years.
Again, this is not a competitive event (why do I always have to say that?)
It's just plain fun to see how many birds you can get during the day. The
strategy and planning involved adds another level of fun for some of the
teams. Everyone of all levels of birding expertise is invited to share the
day.
The eighth annual AWBB will be May 3, 2008. Be there or be square.
Later,
Georgann
