I managed to squeeze in a nice of walk of the GIHP in Conyers today. The birds of the last few days rekindled enough interest to check the place before migration is over. I figured I would ignore trying to count warblers and look for something unusual. Instead I ended up with lots of warblers but not much else. I ran into Darlene Moore when I was leaving, and she had many of the same warblers.
Warblers: 24 species
Orange-crowned Warbler
Northern Parula
Yellow Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Pine Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Prothonotary Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Swainson's Warbler
Northern Waterthrush
Louisiana Waterthrush
Kentucky Warbler
Common Yellowthroat
Hooded Warbler
Yellow-breasted Chat
I bet a few days ago when the waves were moving through, 30+ species in a day would have been very possible.
Gotta run, Good Birding!
