The following is a summary of the Georgia Rare Bird
Alert (RBA) Tuesday evening telephone report, May 29,
2007. The RBA is a service of the Georgia
Ornithological Society. Jeff Sewell is the voice of

A Red-necked Phalarope was seen in a little pond
Tuesday, May 29 on Brandon Farm Road near Taff Road in
Bartow County, southwest of Cartersville.

A Wilson’s Plover was found Tuesday, May 29 at
Carter’s Dam Reregulation Lake (Murray County). A
Semipalmated Plover was also seen in the area for
comparison.

A pair of Red Crossbills was located on Monday, May 28
in southern Union County on Duncan Ridge Road.

A Swallow-tailed Kite was reported on Tuesday, May 29
near Darien on Hwy 251 (McIntosh County).
