OVPR provides "seed money" to early career faculty through its Faculty
Research Grants program
(http://www.ovpr.uga.edu/grantsandawards/frg.html). Proposals to this
program are reviewed by faculty committees in the following areas:

•    Applied Life Sciences
•    Basic Life Sciences
•    Physical and Mathematical Sciences
•    Professional and Applied Studies
•    Social and Behavioral Sciences

(Grants in the humanities and arts are handled through the Willson
Center for Humanities & Arts; see

We continually renew membership on these committees (faculty serve
three-year terms) and we would appreciate your nomination of appropriate
faculty members from your department to serve. Please reply with names
