Your problem may not be specific to EG. Any window in WinXP can be inadvertently located outside of the physical screen canvas. When I have encountered this problem, I either close or minimize all other windows. Then I right-click on the taskbar and choose "Cascade Windows". Your wayward EG window should magically reappear, and you can size and locate it normally.
