We were delighted to see a female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK join the usual flock of Northern Cardinals at our feeder late afternoon of Oct. 25. Although not a first "yard" occurrence of this species, it was the first time one has been seen at a feeder here. We usually only hear the sharp call note with the caller being well hidden among leaves.
