Subject: White-winged Dove on Jekyll Island-4 Porter Lane
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
At 11:22 a.m. today there was a White-winged Dove sitting on one of my fence posts in the front yard. It sat there for some time and was all fluffed out in our cool and damp weather. Suddenly, a female Cardinal flew directly at it and almost sat down on the same post. This activity caused the White-winged Dove to become restless and it flew up and alight on the utility wires where two Mourning Doves were sitting. All three doves soon flew away. Had beautiful looks of the wing pattern as the White-winged Dove flew.
Perhaps it will return.
