Just 16 miles southeast of Atlanta, Panola Mountain State Park has over 1600 acres
of mixed habitats. With in the week at the parks feeding station was a Pine Siskin who
seemed to be hanging around a small flock of American Gold Finches. Also, we have
had Brown-Headed, Red-Breasted and White-Breasted nuthatches, and many other common
birds. For more information on the birding areas of the park, please call 770-389-7801.
