Hi Georgia Birders,
I birded various areas of the coast this past weekend with the following highlights along with the regular suspects:
Cumberland Island - White-eyed Vireo, Gray Catbird, Common Loon, Northern Gannets, Lesser Scaup. Since it is still early for White-eyed Vireo or Gray Catbird as a migrant both are most likely winter residents.
St. Simons Island - Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and Ruby-throated Hummingbird adult male.
Jekyll Island - Great Black-backed Gull (adult plumaged) behind the convention center on the beach, Semipalmated Plovers, no Snowy Plover.
Take Care,
Rusty Trump
