I have read "SAS BASE Certification Prep Guide" cover to cover and found
that while it is an excellent means of preparing for the exam, it was
not the most efficient use of my time in terms of improving my
on-the-job programming. For example, a large portion of the book
explains importing different types of files, many of which I never deal
with, or procedures I rarely use. In contrast, I found studying for the
advanced certification via the online course more rewarding, as
virtually all of the content was applicable to my work.

Hi Yue:
Its really worth reading the whole book "SAS BASE CERTIFICATION PREP
GUIDE". I took the exam a year ago and firmly believe that you will get
questions from almost all chapters. Obviously you can pass the exam
easily if you play with some previous exam dumps (or threads), but
reading the whole book will give you a very strong footing that may help
you to pursue SAS ADVANCED studies.
Good luck in your SAS endeavours...
