Hi y'all:

I had the same problem with SPSS 16, even with the patches and fixes. The table simply would not export to .xls format, with a memory problem notice showing on the screen.

Fortunately, the same export worked quite nicely with SPSS 17 (Beta).

SPSS 16 had more than a few problems so I'll be glad when SPSS 17 is released in final version.

I was having the same problem (exporting a 16-page long table to Excel), installed all the patches up to 16.0.2 and the export still failed. After running the 16.0.2.1 hotfix, it finally worked.
