1's are always Males....unless it is a Female who did the coding.

Otherwise you might take a look at the other variables- are there names? DNA? Sometimes in genetics data we can look at the variables on the X Chromosome to determine if the sex is consistant; if it is not we might have a problem with identification of the blood sample.

Hi Group,

I am working on a old dataset which has a variable SEX with format sex. This variable has values 1 and 2. Is there anyway I can know if the value of 1=Male or female? Please let me know.
