some one alerted me to the fact that somebody seems to have
deleted the post I wrote to demonstrate WPS capability in SAS language
and the wiki's incapability to have a sane url.
(it apparently gives a URL with datetime stamp
http://www.sascommunity.org/wiki/User:Dstats/BlogEntry:_2008_August_21_10:29:09_EDT
)
This shows that its a SAS institute community forum not an independent
community forum.or that there is no way to stop editing (this followed after
blow back on india 's performance in olympics emails ".
unlike google knol (which gives u control of what license you want content
to be published or whether you allow editing or comments"
or wikipedia that has a transparent system of editing "you know who edited
it"
because i didn't even get a notification for that deletion.
I dont know who deleted it, but I wish them luck ....you cant keep a good
software down without staying down with them.....
Ajay
.
and the community forum seem to have new lines like "
Please note that all contributions to sasCommunity may be edited, altered, or
removed by other contributors. If you don't want your writing to be edited
mercilessly, then don't submit it here.
You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a
public domain or similar free resource (see
Project:Copyrights<http://www.sascommunity.org/wiki/sasCommunity:Copyrights>for
details).
*DO NOT SUBMIT COPYRIGHTED WORK WITHOUT PERMISSION!"
how many community sites do you know of that threaten merciless editing ??
oh the merciless editing ..ah uh ahh ..it hurts
