Hello GABbers,
Last week I meandered back to Florida birding along the way. On Wednesday, Sep 3, 2008 I was surprised to see several male and female Boat-tailed Grackles in the trees alongside the parking lot of McDonald's in Fitzgerald. I wasn't aware that this species is in this area. Annotated Checklist doesn't include this location.
Also in Fitzgerald, quite by chance I came upon a scattered group of Jungle Fowl foraging in residential yards. I saw two roosters and three hens along Lee St in the vicinity of Cypress St. Annotated Checklist says that this species was released by GA DNR some years ago and has extablished itself in this and other locations.
