I've been noticing a lot of activity while I'm outside (some quite rare), so I figured it was time to at least pick up the binocs before fall migration is over. So, today I was in the vicinity of West Point Lake. I stopped at the dam and did a quick scan. Nothing on the lake. I walked below the dam to the little pond that has alder around the edges of it. It's beside the fenced off transformer complex (yes, it's in GA). There was an Alder Flycatcher there...it 'pip'ed and secretly hung out there until I left. I took some fairly close photos of it. I thought I'd mention it since it is/was a review species bird.
