Depending on your OS, you may need admin rights to change it. The procedure is to open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) by right clicking on the My Computer icon on your desktop display. Then click on Explore. Bring up the Folder Options display (it might be under the Tools menu or the View menu). Click on the File Types tab. Scroll down to the extension in question. Click Delete and then OK.
