Principles and Procedures of Statistics: A Biometrical Approach has been around for several editions. My copy from the 1970's does not include the biometrical reference. It is a graduate level text and has SAS examples. Mind you, the examples typically refer to agriculture and animal husbandry. The major drawback for you is that I don't think that it has any time series sections.

Have you spent any time looking at the stat discussions in the on line documents?

Hi, All

I had one course on statistics (more years ago than I would care to remember) and I've been using SAS in various ways since about 1980. Most of what I do can probably be better dignified as data analysis rather than statistical analysis. I have a rough and ready understanding of statistics that might be implied by all that but despite being an old dog I'd like to learn a few new tricks before I retire.

In that spirit I wonder if anybody can recommend a stats textbook that might serve my purposes? I'm particularly interested in learning a bit more about regression and time series. Nobody wants to waste $ on training for old dogs but maybe a good book could fill the gap.

-Jim
