Perhaps we could be of more help if you gave us a little background on what pn and c1 represent and what did you do about the ci factor in the first analysis?

I am a little confused and I hope someone can help me. These are the results I get if I just use one within-suject factor BUT...... Tests of Within-Subjects Contrasts Measure: MEASURE_1 Source pn Sum of Squares df Mean Square F Sig. pn Linear 113.288 1 113.288 36.768 .000 pn * condition 7.587 2 3.793 1.231 .299 Error(pn) Linear 178.708 58 3.081

These are the results if I use 2 within-subject factors... Why are the SS so different for the same variable? HELP Tests of Within-Subjects Contrasts Measure: MEASURE_1 Source Sum of Squares df Mean Square F Sig. pn 58.525 1 58.525 37.727 .000 pn * condition3.240 2 1.620 1.044 .358 Error(pn) 89.973 58 1.551 ci 33.393 1 33.393 26.771 .000 ci * condition4.964 2 2.482 1.990 .146 Error(ci) 72.347 58 1.247 pn * ci 8.537 1 8.537 5.850 .019 pn * ci * condition 3.311 2 1.655 1.134 .329 Error(pn*ci) 84.640 58 1.459

ANY HELP ON THIS WOULD BE BEYOND GREATLY APPRECIATED
