No, or at least I don't know if proc migrate had been used or not.

As soon as we moved to a multi-processor environment we noticed that jobs analyzing large data sets were taking longer than they used to in a non- server, single-user environment.

Our first attempt to resolve the matter, namely to move all of the data onto the server's own harddrive, immediately produced the originally anticipated improvements.

Since no one was able to offer either an explanation or alternative solution, we simply expanded the server's hard drive and moved all of our data there.

Thus, my question is simply "are your data files on the server's harddrive or somewhere else on your network?"
