If you have the 'autosave' option set, it will autosave editor files. For me, it autosaves in

%userdir%\Application Data\SAS\EnhancedEditor

though I think this can change based on your settings. I'm not sure the autosave option is set by default, though, I think I've had to set it on every install I've done. (Option is under Preferences -> Edit).
