Subject: Re: OT: Do we have SAS function to Indicate Time Zone

Hi friends,

I hate time zones and DST as far as the Windows NTFS (New Technology File System) is concerned! FAT systems only store local times but with NTFS (and Unix file systems as well I think?) times are internally stored as GMT (or UTC) and only represented differently depending on the time zone (and DST). The result is that if I store the current time inside a SAS dataset and/or in the name of a dataset during the summer there is a time difference of an hour with the Windows time during the winter!
