You stated the obvious advantage already; working with large
datasets. If you are running regular 32bit the maximum amount of RAM
windows can allocate is 3GB. With 64bit you can theoretically utilize
all 8GBs (although that wont really happen since Windows will be using
some of it for other stuff).
