The beautiful Pacific Loon is still at Lake Russell. It was just off the
dam and walking out onto the dam was the best place to view it. It even
came inside the floats for great views. What a beautiful bird.
I initially scanned the other end of the lake from the visitor's center and
saw what I thought was a loon far off to the left but the light was awful
and all I saw was a silhouette. I'm pretty sure it was a loon, not sure of
the species. It was nowhere near where the Pacific Loon was seen so there
may be 2 loons out there.
