You'll probably get a lot of other recommendations but Cochran and Cox, Experimental Designs, 2nd ed. is a classic. Steve Denham Associate Director, Biostatistics MPI Research, Inc.

I would be grateful for suggestions for books that cover issues of sample size in experiments. For instance, an experiment might be analyzed using a one factor ANOVA. If the book address clinical research/trials, that would be beneficial.
