Herman, that is very nice of you to actually ask!
I'm no copyright lawyer--though I did play one on TV in the mid-80's--but, _MY_ belief is that SAS code that is created by SAS-L-ers and posted to this public forum is up for grabs. Whatever the real case, please feel free to use any and all SAS code that I post to the 'L--macro or not--at your own risk--without consideration for either attributing it to me or compensating me. Just knowing that I have helped a fellow SAS-L-er is compensation enough! (Man, I knew that I couldn't write that last sentence without laughing out loud)!
Herman, best of luck in all of your SAS endeavors!
I hope that this suggestion proves helpful now, and in the future!
Of course, all of these opinions and insights are my own, and do not reflect those of my organization or my associates. All SAS code and/or methodologies specified in this posting are for illustrative purposes only and no warranty is stated or implied as to their accuracy or applicability. People deciding to use information in this posting do so at their own risk.

It is inhumane, in my opinion, to force people who have a genuine
medical need for coffee to wait in line behind people who apparently
view it as some kind of recreational activity. - Dave Barry
