Georgann Schmalz, Lisa and Art Hurt, and Ruth Marley birded Henderson Park
this morning. The birds were generally slow, but we did manage 12 species
of warblers so you can't complain about that! We met Hugh Garrett there who
reported having a Golden-winged warbler at the swampy area. Unfortunately,
we did not see that bird. We did however have a look at the Least
Flycatcher, also at the swampy area; that is where we had the Nashville
warbler as well.
Highlights were:
Least Flycatcher
American Redstart 5
Black and White Warbler 4
Black-throated Green Warbler 1
Canada Warbler 1
Chestnut-sided warbler 7
Hooded Warbler 6
Magnolia Warbler 2
Nashville Warbler 1
Pine Warbler 5
Prairie Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 4
Tennessee Warbler 4
Red-eyed vireo 8
House Wren 1
Sharp-shinned hawk 1
Great Crested Flycatcher 2
Eastern Pewee 4
Fish Crow 1
Chimney Swifts 22
