--------------------------------- The Biology & Life Sciences Association will host a program on how to write an effective resume with guest speaker Joey Freeman. All graduate students are invited to attend and take advantage of this great opportunity! We hope to see everyone there!

WHEN: 7:30PM Tuesday, November 10th WHERE: Room 404D of the Biological Sciences building

DESCRIPTION: Joey Freeman, with many years of experience in resume preparation, will present an approach to the resume that will require serious thought but can result in a resume that is a source of pride, self-understanding, and serve as a springboard to career opportunity. Most resumes are not good. They often fail to represent the person, relate to the career or job objective, or reflect professional communication standards. Instead of thinking seriously about the content and format of the resume, many students use the cop-out of a template. You will perform better in interviews and be able to explore unknown career possibilities if you think seriously and creatively about your resume. Come learn about the possibilities good resume can create in this brief seminar presented by Joey Freeman of the Biology Advising Office.
