Subject:   Question about Bluebirds Nesting
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Newbie here, forgive me if the answers are obvious, but I never grew up around bluebirds and don't know that much about them.  Recently moved back to GA and put up my first bluebird house.  I had a pair move in and build the nest for about a week.  They were in and out of the nesting box all day.  Papa would keep watch while mama would build.  Then recently, both of them are out of the nest at the same time.  I see them either feeding together or bathing together.  I checked on the box last Thurs and there were 3 eggs.  Checked back on Sun and there were still 3 eggs.  Do they wait until all are laid until incubating?  How long does it take to lay all the eggs?  Do both take turns on the nest?  I'm just worried that they abadoned the nest. Thanks. Shantelle (Gwinnett County)
