Your Speaker: Detrice Munir, MPH, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Detrice Munir is currently the Acting Branch Chief for the Management and Policy Fellowships Branch (MPFB) in the Division of Leadership and Practice of the Scientific Education and Professional Development Program Office. The branch manages both the Presidential Management Fellows Program (PMF) and the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) for CDC. In her role as Acting Branch Chief, Mrs. Munir handles all issues related to personnel, recruitment, and budgetary oversight while providing consultation to PMF and ELP supervisors.
Mrs. Munir began her career at CDC in 2003 through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) as a Public Health Intern. Mrs. Munir earned a Masters of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Clark Atlanta University.
