Subject:   Any one familiar with hardware needed for Windows Server

I'm about to start a project that will run SAS on a Windows 2008 server. Unfortunately, I haven't had to personally select any pc related hardware for over 15 years, thus am quite naive regarding such matters.

I've already got quotes from two vendors but, given the prices, would sure feel more comfortable if someone more familiar with pc server hardware could review those quotes and give me an opinion of whether the configurations look reasonable for what I'll need the box to do.

If so, please contact me offline, as I doubt if the list would be interested in my using up bandwidth for such a discussion.
