No bird sightings here (unfortunately), but I thought this may be of interest. It's another year, and that means another field guide is published. But the latest - The Crossley ID Guide: Eastern Birds - is different. How different? The author uses the phrase "reality birding" to describe it, and that's fairly apt. But it's much easier to show, rather than describe, what it's about. Here's my initial review - http://www.birderslibrary.com/quick_picks/crossley_id_guide_eastern_birds_initial.htm

You can also see some sample images and videos at the book's website - http://crossleybirds.com/

I highly recommend checking it out.
