Hi, folks, I spent yesterday morning birding a few areas in Heard & Carroll Cos., including Glovers Creek WFA & Snake Creek Park (Heard Co.) and Buffalo Creek (Carroll Co.). The cool temps and windy, overcast conditions added a bit of a challenge to looking & listening for songbirds, but also concentrated the swallows & swifts over any open water. Not too many highlights for the day, but two Anhingas at Glovers Creek were a surprise:

Anhinga: 2 males, Glovers Cr. WFA Great Egret: 5, Snake Creek Park Bald Eagle: 1 juvenile, Snake Creek Park Spotted Sandpiper: 1, Snake Creek Park Tree Swallow: 1, Glovers Cr. WFA Bank Swallow: 1, Buffalo Creek@Laurel Rd. Cliff Swallow: 6, Glovers Cr. WFA (nesting under the Bevis Rd. bridge); 1, Snake Creek Park Northern Parula: 2, Glovers Cr. WFA Yellow-throated Warbler: 1, Glovers Cr. WFA Prothonotary Warbler: 4, Glovers Cr. WFA Swainson's Warbler: 1, Glovers Cr. WFA Louisiana Waterthrush: 2, Glovers Cr. WFA Kentucky Warbler: 1, Glovers Cr. WFA; 1, Snake Creek Park

Glovers Creek is a Ducks Unlimited M.A.R.S.H. project located south of Franklin, GA, along Bevis Rd. Snake Creek Park is a USCoE boat ramp/picnic area south of Franklin along S. River Rd.

I also made a stop at American Proteins, Forsyth Co., Sunday evening:

American Coot: 1 Spotted Sandpiper: 4 Solitary Sandpiper: 1 Semipalmated Sandpiper: 13 Least Sandpiper: 53 Tree Swallow: 4 Bank Swallow: 1 Cliff Swallow: 2

Take care.
