Subject: scissor-tailed continues
The scissor-tailed flycatcher is still present at the (Bartow Co) Brandon
Farm Road cattle pond dirt mounds. We saw it at 7:30 this evening in its
usual spot. It flew northwest toward the power line towers but landed on
the fence adjacent to the road. Naturally, because I forgot to take pictures
off my camera's card, I missed a perfect close-up photo. Murphy strikes
again! We came back about a half hour later but no luck.
Other birds of note: immature blue grosbeak, 1 dickcissel, a few sandpipers
(semipalms I think).
