Subject: Impact of taking out local admin right from SAS/XP user

Hi there,

We are planning to move from physical desktop (Win XP) to VM desktop (still Win XP). Our IT department is considering to strip off admin right (local admin right?) from SAS user account. Anybody knows what kind of change this move will bring to us? I was told that we cannot download and install stuff anymore. One thing I can think of now is Java, I know SAS seems to be more closely linked to Java now, would this be a problem? Anything else? I would like to do some tessting, what should I test?

Thanks

Ya
