Subject: sas 9.2.3 64 bits installed in c:\Program Files or Program
              Files (x86) ?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Hi I was surprised that one user here has had access to an external 64 bit version of SAS 9.2.3 (at opening the log shows 64 bits) AND that when i examine the place where the soft was installed UNDER Windows7 64 bits it was installed under Program Files (x86) and not in the native c:\Program Files!

Any remarks about this behavior? as i was thinking the (x86) is reserved for 32 bits application!

I can say nothing more about this install as i havn't process this install

Andre
