Subject: Re: Location Of Green-Tailed Towhee
Hi Steve/All,
Take Hwy 15 (paved) south out of Watkinsville.
Go about 13.8 miles.
Turn left on Macedonia Road (paved) in Greene County.
Go about 3.5 miles.
Turn right on Nichols Road (dirt).
Go about 1.55 miles.
Turn left on Churchwell Road (dirt).
Go .25 miles.
Park on right side, just off of road, at farm, stay off of private
property, hopefully enjoy towhee!

Also, you can copy these GPS coordinates into Google Maps:
N 33 42.801 W 83 13.793
...then zoom in and out on the exact spot (green arrow location) to see
where you need to stand, and with views of all of the roads, etc., use the
aerial (satellite) photography as needed.
Of course you may want to use the path tool to measure the distances in
Google Earth to check my work for mistakes!
Once you have published GPS coordinates you can do all of this, without a
GPS, using Google Maps and Google Earth, very cool and free!
Good Birding All!
Mark
