Subject: Hummers in St Simons
The juvenile male BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD and a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird made appearances at the Armstrong's house at 134 Country Club Rd in St Simons this afternoon. Photos were taken of the BCHU which fed at both feeders and the larger bottlebrush tree at the edge of the backyard next to the house. John Crosby, Bob Sattlemeyer and Bill Flatau got photos - and we added the BCHU to the CBC. If you go, please enjoy the chairs the Armstrong's have set up for birders and sign the guest record on the table. They said they didn't realize the high level of interest in the BCHU and hopes everyone who wants to see it will get a chance.
There is also a male Ruby-throated at 408 Ashantilly in St Simons. The owner said folks are welcome to stop by to see it. The feeders are hanging on the front porch.
