Subject:      Copying var. labels, values. etc

We have several students using data from several years extracted from the GSS:
the same variables for each year.  At this point they have defined the variables
- labels, values, etc for one year.  How can they copy definitions to another
year's datafile?  (I know that we can merge files and use Select If, but the
instructor wants them to use separate datafiles.)  Appreciate your help.
