Werner E. Helm <helm@fh-darmstadt.de> writes that when his application is shifted from 800 x 600 resolution to 1024 x 768, the rightmost and bottom portion are not visible.

Werner, perhaps you have it backwards? Applications that I have developed at 1024 x 768 resolution have this problem when shown on a computer set-up 800 x 600 resolution. Conversely, an application developed at 800 x 600 resolution will nestle in the upper-left portion of the screen.

The solution is two-fold. Develop your application at 800 x 600 and use attachments to get the screen to resize for different resolutions. The best explanation of attachments appears in the SUGI 19 Proceedings (1994 - Dallas) in a paper by Bud Whitmeyer, SAS Institute, Inc., "Effective Utilization of Region Attachments in a FRAME Application," pages 43-52.

Beware that attachments are tricky to get to work right!
