Subject:      SEATTLE - SAS Programmer/Analyst Needed

     Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, in Seattle, Washington, has an
     immediate opening for a permanent senior Systems Analyst/Programmer
     III/IV position.
 
     Duties and Responsibilities:
 
     Provide database management, programming, quality control, and
     analysis support for a large, randomized clinical trial.  The
     candidate will participate as a member of the programming team with
     responsibility for data collection programs, data tracking,
     transmission, and file creation, updating, quality control, as well as
     data management and statisticial programming, creation of analysis
     datasets and other applications.  In addition, the candidate will be
     responsible for documentation of procedures and working with key entry
     personnel on use of procedures.
 
     Qualifications:
 
     BA and three years experience as a Systems Analyst/Programmer in a
       working environment.
     Strong experience using SAS for database management and statistical
       programming essential.
     Experience in designing,developing, and maintaining SAS data
       management systems for complex projects.
     Minimum two years documented experience programming SAS datasteps and
       macros.
     Experience in documenting computer and data collection procedures.
     Good written and verbal communication skills.
     Knowledge of UNIX and Windows SAS environments.
     Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a
       team.
