Subject: No Space left on device
In running Sort procedure on SPSS for MS Windows Release 5.0 on a Pentium 133
MHz with 32 M RAM, 100 MB harddisk space left on disk. The file to be sorted
is a 20 MB SPSS system file.
The following problem was encountered.
File:c:\windows\temp\spssb3.tmp
Error: No space left on device
File:c:\windows\temp\spssb3.tmp

End of job: 16 commands lines 1 errors 0 warnings 24 seconds
It pop up the follow messae too.
The SPSS Processro is terminating due to catastrophic error. Any working date
file is lost. The host system has detected an error related to an input or
output
operation. Restart the Porcess ? Yes No
It seems that it was insufficient space left on the harddisk for processing.
But there were 100 MB more left on disk. The size of file to be sorted is 20
MB only. It was a SPSS system file rather than ASCII file.
Do you have any idea.
